Travis Button Been following these Angelenos for a while in the local scene now. Surprised it took me this long to notice they were on Bandcamp, but glad I came across this. Excellent "breakthrough" album with great vocal harmonies and intricate arrangements which should spread this music to the audience it deserves. Talented group of (mostly, usually) girls.
Jo

Jo All three of the female vocalists have great voices, but it is when they harmonize over the simple but effective melodies that the songs soar! Favorite track: Blind and Brave.
Max

Max Like Rob Hilton says, it's a treat to have three excellent singers in one place. Gorgeous harmonies, and songs that range from powerful to wistful to just plain cute. Hard to pick a favourite song. Favorite track: Of All The Dreams.

You think you know where I’m going the truth is I haven’t got a clue / one thing I know where I’m going there won’t be another you / and that don’t mean that I found another man / and that don’t mean that I’ll fall in love again / w this ship is sailing it don’t need a captain of the crew / where this train is traveling the tracks lead me far away from you / and that don’t mean that I’ll find another man / and that don’t mean that I’ll fall in love again / love is a choice every morning not some fuzzy feeling in the room / I never needed your company but I surely longed for you / yeah I surely long for you / I’m not running from a home we built for two / I’m chasing the winds, I’m leaving on whims and I’m learning a thing or two / you think you know where I’m going / the truth is you haven’t got a clue

Let No Grief 04:34
Maybe one day you’ll wipe the dust off my face and see me again / give me that dazed look that I love and make me remember when we were together with such joy exuding from us like a fountain/ spilling between us at such a great pace like melting snow on a mountain / now I have to sing something louder than I have before / so I escape this overwhelming pain and never hurt no more / the seasons are changing and supposedly I have to as well / my heart is pacing and I have to break free from your spell / I was lifted above ground now I have been placed back down below / but love has that power to make you fly when you’ve been feeling so low / Please speak sweet to me / oh somber hearted let no grief destroy the time we have to be close quiet and free / maybe one day you’ll wipe the dust off my face and see me again

What's the difference between night and day besides the people that come/ and the people who stay/ the feeling of love/ and the feeling of hate/ the big light in the sky and the darkness of age/ the time that is passed and the time that you wait/ You really must love it all/ don't go out at night/ don't walk down that lane/ the people from this place/ they're all afraid/ but you are new here/ so blind and so brave/ so you'll see the lights/ and you'll hear the parade/ so go join their call/ indulge in their praise/ do it 'cause you love it all/ do it 'cause you love this city/ 'cause you love it all/ do it 'cause you love this city/ 'cause you love it all/ well you really must love it all/ I won't waste your time/ and I won't rid you of your pride/ if you don't rid me of mine/ yeah if you don't rid me of mine/ I ain't moving out/ I ain't moving on/ my feet are on the ground/ hear the voices of the young/ do it 'cause you love it all/ do it 'cause you love this city/ you showed me how to love it all

Foreigner 04:41
You looked down at your cup and you won’t look back up / it’s the last time I saw your eyes / I’d forgotten their color, their shape, and their flutter / it’s been that long since you’d looked in mine / and there’s a lover in my head / and there’s a stranger in my bed / and I won’t know until the morning comes / you started to lose all your color, all your proof / and I’ve wondered if you’ve moved on / those brown eyes in the morn’ that tee shirt that I adore / that terrible haircut / and there’s a lover in my head / and there’s a stranger in my bed / I thought I knew those eyes / but there’s a foreigner inside / See I had this thought that we’d pick up where we left off / but it turns out I was a fool / when I came to visit you I barely recognized you under your new neighborhood / thought I knew his eyes / but there’s a foreigner inside

I was a daisy white and true / and you were a violet wild and blue / and we danced in the springtime air / I was an oak tree old and wise / and you were the field in which I’d lie / we grew together, forever tangled in the dirt / but of all the things I could be I want to be with you / and of all the dreams I could dream I want to dream of you / I was a firefly on a southern summer night / and you were the child drawn to my light / you finally caught me and kept me in your favorite glass jar / I was a traveler in search of gold and you my companion the open the road / we shared a path that only stars could make / I was a poet alone with my thoughts / and you were my poems all I got / you shared my story long after I was gone / I was the moon full of light / and you were the wolf howling at the night / you waited for me with every setting sun / but of all the things I could be I want to be with you / and of all the dreams I could dream I want to dream of you / of all the things I could be I want to be with you / and of all the dreams that I’ve dreamed my favorite one is you / ‘cause you are the one I want

Love Letter 03:07
I wrote my first love letter at 21 years old / I wrote my first love letter and I waited for the post / to see if I’ll have courage to send you all my soul / I wrote my first love letter / now I can’t seem to let it go / it cost me three cents extra to get it packed with care / but baby this one’s fragile so if you read please beware / what’s my fate, what’s my fate / If I should ever send this page / oh be brave, oh be brave / it’s too late / if I ever gain the courage before we’re old and grown / when you read my letter it’s gon’ rock your heart and soul / ‘cause baby in that letter is my love written so bold

Judgement 04:13
When I rise I’m awakened by sun / and it calls me home / when I’m home I weep for lost / when I’m home I regret the cost / of the grudge I hold / a family lost over silver and gold / a family conned me for everything I own / but that was long ago / and mom said stop the Lord will judge he’ll bring wrath to those who’ve done us wrong, and ignite their souls / as the seeds they fall to ground we lose to grief / regret we must sound the sirens through the house / ‘cause if we don’t we won’t ever learn that we must progress through our hurt / so sound the siren now / and I must rise and awaken the sun I will rise and scream for the sun and bring light home / ‘cause we’re all stuck waiting for a sunrise / we’re all stuck waiting or the light to make things right / I will rise and awaken the sun / I will rise and scream for the sun and bring light home

When I Go 02:13
When I came I came in peace / I had just been released / when I came I came in peace/ when I pray each day away / I hope the good Lord will wash my sins away / when I sing my heart bells ring / and the birds they reply and I’m part of everything / when we kiss please don’t miss / ‘cause my lips are like my hips / They swing and you might miss / when I dream I see real things / and I don’t fear the future dear / I saw it in my dreams / when I hurt I know that I’m alive / ‘cause it’s then my heart beats and it pumps me back to life / so when I go may it be in peace / then I’ll know at the very least / when I go I’ll go in peace

Recognize 03:23
I had this great idea / that I could turn into someone new / he don’t see me in a crowd / so I will change his view / and if he only sees with his eyes / then I will make him recognize the truth / all the girls will see my insecurity / all the boys will take a second look at me / as I walk around with my heart racing / I will look for him like he is all I need / all I need / and when he sees my great appeal / he’ll finally sense what I feel / and he will take my hand / and I will follow him / follow him / all the girls will see my insecurity / all the boys will take a second look at me / as I walk around with my heart racing / I will look for him like he is all I need / all the girls will wonder what’s wrong with me / all the boys will stop and say hey baby / hey baby / ain’t it a girls way of messing up her pride? / ain’t it a woman’s way of making it on the outside? / well it ain’t right / It ain’t right / I will not agree to follow him / she cannot agree to follow him / while she’s blind / I will not agree to follow him from behind

Lock and Key 03:28
For you I broke the lock and buried the key / come find me you said to meet you down by the sea / I’m alright tonight / ring the bells, I’m standing on my own two feet / I can see all the people who don’t see me / I’m alright tonight / ‘cause my heart drums to it’s own beat in a city that never dreams / for you I broke the lock and I buried the key / yeah I buried the key / so I’ll wait for you here where you said love would be / with my eyes on the sky where it meets the sea / it’s alright I’m alone tonight / ‘cause my heart drums to it’s own beat in a world that’s always asleep / for you I broke the lock and I buried the key / courage carry me across the danger
